Hello Masters. Unfortunately, due to the current COVID situation, the club executive has decided that the Manitoba Masters will go on hiatus for this year. Stay safe, stay home (unless you are on the ski hill) and we’ll see you next year. The Bonus Training that has been scheduled for March 18th at Springhill has been cancelled. Springhill is closing for the week. That will probably do it for our season. We will figure something out for the windup. At this point, we have no idea when it may happen. As the windchill isn’t forecast to get above our -27 cutoff for this evening, we are cancelling the training session for tonight, Feb 19th. Hopefully we can get out next week. With only one member indicating they can come, and no coaches available, we are going to cancel the Kenora event as an official Master’s event.However, if you still wish to go out to Kenora for some skiing, there is a Manitoba Alpine training day on Saturday, and a dual slalom race on Sunday . . . → Read More: Feb 16th Kenora event cancelled Results for for our first race of the season and now complete and available here. It was a perfect day at Frostfire and we have the photo to prove it! Unfortunately the forecast doesn’t have the windchill getting above -30 at any point today. So we have decided to cancel the training scheduled for tonight, January 15th, out at Springhill. Cross your fingers that it’s warmer out next Wednesday.
